Meet Tatiana
Tatiana Ehulani Looney is a dancer, yoga teacher, hiker, self-proclaimed chef, and entrepreneur from Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Born and raised an island girl, she has always needed movement in her life. Whether climbing or twirling, movement was her natural expression. At just three years old, she was drawn into pink tights, a black leotard, and the ballet barre—quickly discovering her happy place. Tatiana went on to train professionally for many years in ballet, jazz, hip hop, hula, Tahitian, and more. From a young age, movement became her way of navigating emotions and expressing herself.
At seventeen, only three days after graduating high school, Tatiana moved to New York City to continue her artistic journey. She danced, acted, and modeled with Wilhelmina Models, Clear Talent Agency, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Steps on Broadway. It was during this time in the city that she discovered yoga—finding calm, softness, and moments of quiet amid the chaos.
In 2012, Tatiana relocated to California. Between sandy beaches, palm trees, and a vibrant dance and yoga community, she found herself deepening her practice. On her mat, in stillness and silence, her passion for movement grew even louder. Her path as a yoga teacher unfolded naturally as opportunities to share her practice continued to come her way. Since then, she has completed extensive trainings, including Banyan Gallagher’s 200-hour YTT Program, Advanced Philosophy Study with Tom Hess, and an Ashtanga Immersion with Manju P. Jois, along with numerous workshops and continued education courses across the U.S. She has led Yoga Teacher Trainings, co-founded a yoga studio, and remains deeply committed to being a lifelong student.
Today, Tatiana teaches in Chico, California, where she lives with her husband, Chase, and their gentle giant, Lucy Loo.
Aloha—she looks forward to moving with you.
