About the Program

Coursework provided by Spira Yoga School, the leading Yoga Teacher Training program in Butte County since 2014. Spira Yoga School is also the first and only Registered Yoga School in Chico to follow the Elevated RYS 200 Standards set forth by Yoga Alliance. These updated standards require more qualifications from teacher trainers and a superior curriculum model to ensure your success as a yoga professional.

Eight training weekends will be filled with hands-on content covering curriculum areas like techniques, biomechanics, teaching experience, and professional development. In addition to in-person training weekends, this course also includes quality, interactive virtual content for you to complete between training weekends, in the comfort of your space, and at your own pace. As a trainee you will have ample support and opportunity to teach to peers, and even to the public, as you develop your teaching skills and yoga sequences.
